Regular readers of the blog know by now that I am a sucker for new gadgets. Not that it’s a bad thing. I often find new tools that are truly useful in my work. That’s one of the reasons that I eagerly read technical magazines and browse tech web sites. I often hit pay dirt.
And I think that I may have done just that! I recently stumbled on the Ray Pico Projector (check it out at https://www.raydisplays.com/). This little projector is about the size of an iPod, and will project from a host of video sources (including iPods). Priced at $229 US, it looks like a great way to give an impromptu presentation.
If your budget is a bit higher, check out the Microvision Pico Projector at http://www.microvision.com/pico_projector_displays/index.html. This projector should be available within a month or so, and the word on the street is that it will go for a bit more than $500. Their big innovation is this unit uses lasers instead of LEDs, so it will be brighter, and will not need to be focused. You can be sure that I will be checking it out when it hits the streets.
